Today we stayed in Solomon's, hoping to get to walk around and check out the town and the Calvert Maritime Museum. Tropical Storm Andrea had other ideas. The storm moved up the East Coast very fast and it rained hard here all day. As of 6:00 PM, the area had gotten 3.5" of rain from the storm.

So, we stayed on the boat and caught up with computer work, bills, etc. Susan actually did some laundry, but got soaked doing it. She loved the facilities here at the marina and said the laundry is one of the best on the trip so far.

We met some very nice folks on board "Once Upon a Time" when we were on Tangier Island. Brent and Susan had us over for drinks on their 42' Jefferson. We had a great time. We thought they were going to Crisfield, MD on the Eastern Shore yesterday, but they showed up here at Zahniser's. We talked to them today and we were going to do the museum together, but the rain was too hard to get there. They wound up taking a mooring buoy behind our boat.

Tomorrow we will try to go to Oxford, MD. It should be a 35 mile trip. Who knows about the weather. Everything I can see tells me winds will be around 10 with gusts to 15-17 from the NW then the SW. Two foot waves are forecasted. All this after about 9:00. I have heard this one before, like on Tuesday coming out of Portsmouth. We will stick our nose out in the bay, try to run up the lee shore as long as possible, then make the 6-8 mile run East across the big part of the bay toward Oxford.

We have cancelled our plans to go to St. Michael's. We will stay in Oxford until Tuesday, then get back across the bay to an anchorage for Tuesday night. On Wednesday, we will go into Annapolis. At least that is the plan tonight. Tuesday looks like the last good day to cross the bay for a while.

Thanks for Reading!
