We had thunderstorms move through Annapolis again this morning. Is this an every day occurrence? The skies cleared by about 10:30, so we set out on our bikes to find West Marine. I needed to get some fasteners to fix my AIS Chart Plotter mount. The ferrel in the mount has come out and I have to lay the chart plotter on my dash in order to use it.

So, we rode about two miles from the marina and found West Marine. Very nice folks. One lady was about to take her RV to Red Bay, AL. She had never been there. We told her to visit the Coon Dog Cemetery in Red Bay.

Typical West Marine. They had the bolts I needed but not the nuts. We had to go next door to Fawcett's, which is another huge marine supply store in Annapolis. They used to be right down town on "Ego Alley" but have moved out to the 'burbs. I did find what I needed there.

After lunch on the boat, we walked back into downtown Annapolis. Friday afternoon in the Summer in Annapolis is crazy. Folks coming in for the weekend were everywhere. I could imagine everyone that we saw coming from Washington or Baltimore - escaping the summer heat of the cities to come play for the weekend at the trendy sailing capital of whatever! We saw a bunch of families with small children. Our marina parking lot filled up with folks coming to spend the weekend on their boats. It was just a very vibrant afternoon and evening in Summertime Annapolis. I am glad that we got to experience it!

We ate dinner at The Boatyard Restaurant in Eastport. It was good. We got in early, so there was not too much of a wait. After dinner, we walked the docks at the marina. It was a beautiful evening.

So, this finishes our trip to Annapolis. It has been one of the highlights of the cruise for me. This is definitely a town where you should stay in town to see and experience all it has to offer. On our past visits, we had just come in for the day, and we never did have the total package. I am glad we stayed in Eastport. It is the quaint neighborhood that I imagined.
I am glad we stayed at this nice marina in the Eastport section of Annapolis
Tomorrow we head up to Baltimore!

Thanks for Reading!
