We have been on the Loop trip for 100 days as of today! Of course this does not count our break in May, but this is 100 nights on the boat doing the Loop. Almost 21 miles per day on the boat.

Today we stayed in Brewerton. It was a gray day and very cool. We shut the AC off and left windows open on the boat. By late afternoon, it had gotten cold. The sun came out and the temp dropped. At Docktails, we were all in jeans and jackets. A week ago we were in the middle of an intense 6 day heat wave with temps in the 90's. I like this cooler weather better! Just as long as it does not snow!

We took the marina car this morning and went to a laundromat, did laundry, and came back to the boat.

Several new boats docked at the marina today. Sandy and Dan from "some R lovin' " whom we met at Amsterdam, came in this morning. They lowered their Bimini top like we did. A boat from Longboat Key, FL is here, as is a boat from Freeport, ME, and a boat from Maryland. Most of these folks joined Rick and Leila from "Sun Gypsy" and Susan and I at Docktails which we did on the grass under a big tree just in front of the boats. There were two big Labs from the boat from Maine who also hung around the group. We could hear Maggie barking on our boat because she was not included.

Early in the evening, a boat came into the marina with Tow Boat US. We heard the story of this boat from Dan and Sandy. It hit a submerged tree at Lock 19 and started to take on water. The lock master asked Dan and Sandy to help out. A Canal Corp tug got to the boat and started to tow it and a huge tree surfaced from under the boat. The boat will be pulled out and inspected here at Ess - Kay tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will continue our Westward journey.
