Tonight we are in Valdosta, GA for my sister's son's wedding.

My sister and her husband live in Birmingham. Their son, Bill, lives in Jacksonville, Fl, and is engaged to a girl from Valdosta, GA whom he met in Jax. Tomorrow is their wedding in Valdosta, so we headed out this morning for the drive to this city in Southern Georgia to attend the festivities.

We know the route well, as this is the route we take to Jacksonville. The trip took us about four and a half hours with several stops. It was a beautiful day to drive, and the trip was very enjoyable. We arrived into Valdosta about 5:30 local.

We met up with our daughter, Beth, and daughter-law-law Amanda at the hotel, then went to the wedding rehearsal party where we met up with son Ben who is a groomsman for his cousin. Beth's two daughters are also here and the oldest, Ava, is a flower girl in the wedding.

It was good to see our family and everyone from Birmingham. The meal was good, and the fellowship was fun.

Tomorrow we will watch a little football and then go the the late afternoon wedding and following reception.
