Still in Erie, PA today. It was raining hard when we got up this morning. A check of the weather showed that seas were 2-4 feet on Lake Erie and winds were 10-20 knots. This changed over night because the forecast last night did not contemplate these conditions.
So, we scrubbed the mission for today and decided to stay in port. I was heavily influenced by my friend Doug Martin's advice on cruising weather after the Chesapeake Bay experiences (and Doug knows Lake Erie!) Thanks Doug!
Susan did Laundry and we walked around the downtown area near the marina. There is a big medical center complex on the water just up the hill from the marina. We saw Gannon College, also near the marina. Dinner was at a Mexican Restaurant about three blocks into the downtown area.

Tomorrow we will try to make it to Geneva State Park which is in Ohio, West of Ashtabula.
