We woke this morning to pouring rain that has lasted most of the day. We got over three inches this morning here in Kingston and there is a flood warning for the area. The water here is chocolate color with a lot of debris in the water. At high tide, the water seems higher than it has been. Low tide is about 4' below the high tide level.
We picked up the rental car this morning and brought it back to the marina. We were also able to secure a pump out this afternoon without having to take the boat to another marina. The marina owner brought a trailer mounted pump and tank over and pumped us out. Of course he was deluged with others wanting this service. We owe Chelsea a big thank you for arranging the Pump out.
After getting the pump out, we walked up the hill to other neighborhoods above the Rondout. It was drizzling during the walk. We then took the car and made a grocery run to the next town of Ulster.
The canal is still closed to navigation. With all this current rain, I have no idea when it will open. I am not optimistic.
Not a real exciting day. And it is supposed to rain tomorrow also. Geeez!
Thanks for Reading!
