Still here at Turtle Cove Marina in Tarpon Springs.
Today was a beautiful day. We started in the morning while it was still overcast and foggy and then got off the boat late morning with Rick and Leila from "Sun Gypsy".
We walked the town of Tarpon Springs again and went into the shops all over town. the good weather really brought the tourists out in droves. (So I guess we were right at home.) We found a real Greek grocery store on a side street, and we enjoyed looking at all the Greek foodstuffs that were available!
We stopped at Dimitry's on the Waterfront for some drinks mid afternoon. We also made reservations for 14 for dinner later tonight at Hella's, a local Greek restaurant. They accommodated us cheerfully!
At 6:00, we had a big Looper contingent arrive for drinks and dinner at Hella's. Charlie and Al from "Always Five O'Clock", Carol and Dennis from "Reunion". Bill and Kathy from "Tour de Loop". Meredith and Steve from "Free at Last". Rick and Leila from Sun Gypsy". And Susan and I from "Blue Moon". Ross and Barb from "Attitude Changer" also joined us for drinks, but decided to skip dinner.
Hella's was very good. It rose to number one of the Greek restaurants at which we ate in Tarpon Springs. Costa's is number 2 and Mama's is third. The service was excellent and we all enjoyed talking about our Loop experiences. You may remember that Blue Moon traveled from Chicago to Green Turtle Bay with Always Five O'Clock and Reunion, so we had a lot of challenging times on the Great Rivers with them.
Today was a good day. We stay here in Tarpon tomorrow and will attend a Super Bowl Party that the Marina is hosting.
