Still here at Turtle Cove Marina in Tarpon Springs.

Another pretty nice day. Lots of sun and some fog early. Rick and Leila wanted to ride the trolley to Clearwater and back, so we went along for the ride. This trolley runs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and for $4, you get an all day pass that you can use for bus transportation all over Pinellas County. A great deal! The plan was to ride to Clearwater, then get a transfer to Clearwater Beach. So we set out from Turtle Cove.
We caught the Trolley near this fish market on the River in Tarpon Springs

We caught the first trolley of the day about two blocks from the Marina. It took us down alternate US 19 through Dunedin and downtown Clearwater to an island on the ICW. Here we changed trolley's and rode over to Clearwater Beach.

We have been to Clearwater many times. We stayed for a few days at a hotel on the Beach years ago and experienced the touristy side of Clearwater. It was fun to see all this vibrance again.

The water was very clear as we could tell by walking out on the Pier there. There were a lot of people soaking up rays on the Beach.

Across the street from the Beach is the Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina. W stopped at Crabby Bill's for lunch then walked the docks at the Marina. This was one of the places that I wanted to stay on our way South, but we all got our fill of the beach experience on today's outing.

After lunch, we connected on the trolley back to Dunedin. We stopped at the municipal marina and met Jan from "Adagio". She and husband Ron live here in Dunedin, and we went for drinks at Sea Sea Ryder restaurant. She then showed us around town and was nice enough to take us back to Tarpon Springs. Thank you for a great afternoon, Jan!

We got to the Super Bowl Party at the Turtle Creek Clubhouse at about 5:30. There were a good many people there and they had tons of food. Our group of four boats, "Blue Moon", "Sun Gypsy", "Free at Last" and "Attitude Changer" were all represented. We met Ed, the owner of the Marina, and everyone was nice to us. It was a lot of fun. Wish Peyton had had a better game!

So, today closes out our trip to Tarpon Springs. Tomorrow we are back on the water and headed South to a section of St. Petersburg called Gulfport.

Tarpon was fun. Wish we had had some better weather, but we saw what there was to see and had our fill of Greek food. Tarpon Springs is definitely a destination to which we would return!

Thanks for Reading!
